SEND Information Evening
RE: Special Educational Needs and Disability Support Parents’ Evening
It is a pleasure to write to you to introduce myself as the Assistant Head Teacher in charge of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and safeguarding at Greenwich Free School.
As the SENDCo at Greenwich Free School, my aim is to ensure all pupils have the right amount of support to grow and progress, each reaching their potential across the curriculum. I will be working closely with our pupils, parents, teachers, support staff, and outside agencies to ensure this is achieved.
I am keen to get to know our parent community and particularly those who are interested in the support offered at GFS for pupils with SENDs. Any parents who are interested in learning more about the school and the SEND department, I would like to invite you to a SEND Parents’ Evening Thursday 20th September at 5:30pm. This event follows the Year 10 & 11 Careers fair; if you are a parent of students in those year groups you will be able to attend both events.
The SEND Information Evening will give you an informal opportunity to meet members of the SEND team and those involved in supporting our pupils. You will also hear about our approach in meeting the needs of our pupils. If you are interested in attending, please notify us by either completing the below reply slip or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org by no later than Tuesday 18th September.
