Year 11 Parents Evening
Dear Parents and Carers of Year 11,
RE: Y11 Parents Evening
We are writing to invite you to the Year 11 Parents Evening on Wednesday 26th September. The event runs between 16:00 – 19:30 allowing every parent a five minute slot with their child’s subject teachers. *Please only book in to see one teacher for each subject (including science) otherwise it will not be possible for all parents to see a staff member for each of their child’s subjects.
This is an important event as it will give you the opportunity to meeting with your son/daughter’s subject teachers to discuss the progress they have made so far this year. Teachers will also give detailed information with regards to specific areas of weakness for individual students to focus on along with advice on what revision should be taking place at this time. This evening will be vital for all pupils especially with Mocks fast approaching as the grades from the November Mocks will be used as the predicted grades on all college and sixth form applications.
Your son/daughter was issued with summer homework from each of their subject teachers at the end of last academic year. This homework will need to be brought to the parents evening and each subject teacher will check to make sure they are happy that it has been completed and to the required standard. Any students who have not completed the work will be put into compulsory directed study time in the proceeding weeks until the work is finished. If your son/daughter is required to attend directed study time, information will be sent to you after the parents evening.
Our expectation is that all students and their parents will attend the evening. Please book your slots with each of your child’s subject teachers via the link below (*please be reminded of the above request). We must stress that timings for the appointments need to be strictly adhered to, this will ensure the smooth running of the event and reduce any waiting time for all involved.
Please be reminded there is no parking on site unless you are a disabled badge holder and students are required to attend wearing full school uniform. If you are running late on the evening we cannot guarantee that you will be able to see your child’s subject teachers.
