New Parent Bulletin
Dear AGFS Parents & Carers,
I am extremely proud of how our community has adapted to this unprecedented situation over recent weeks. We are all working incredibly hard to keep our children safe and to continue to provide a high quality education. I’m indebted to our staff and parents for meeting this challenge head on with such a positive ‘can do’ attitude. The journey ahead of us will be difficult, but if we continue to work together in this way, we may even emerge stronger at the end of it.
It is important that students take a break from school work over Easter. In this week’s bulletin, we’ve provided some great links to resources and ideas for you and your family to enjoy over the holiday. We have found some of the best family friendly ways to stay healthy, grounded, and entertained. I hope you have fun with them! You will also find some exciting updates to our careers provision on page 7 of the above attached bulletin.
I’m sure you will understand that I have also instructed my staff to take a break and recharge their batteries over Easter. Daily phone calls and virtual learning will be postponed over the holiday period. When we return to school, and as we bring Year 9 onboard with live Microsoft Teams lessons, we will need to scale back the volume of phone calls that are being made to families to better manage staff work streams. Moving forward, parents and students will receive weekly contact from their key member of staff and should continue to monitor our website for daily updates. We will also keep in regular contact with you by email and text throughout the closure period.
I am keen to hear your feedback on the new school working arrangements so that we can make any necessary adjustments for next term, please click below to give us your feedback: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd0lgMtw1enkDfc38v7hUp0FpWrRH-zVaIG11mIVcM7e9aOIw/viewform.
Thank you once again for all your support. I wish you and your family a safe Easter break.
