Parent Bulletin Issue 18
Dear Parents and Carers,
Tomorrow we commemorate VE day and the 75th anniversary since the end of World War II in Europe. We might reflect upon the parallels that have been drawn between this pandemic and conflict in our own ways. The current crisis certainly requires no small amount of resilience and collective endeavour. These are qualities our community is demonstrating in abundance. I continue to be incredibly grateful to you for everything you are doing to support your child from home at this time.
This week staff have continued to provide a range of live online lessons and resources for students. Our regular wellbeing calls to families have also remained and these conversations have helped us to get closer to our families than ever before. Teachers are receiving frequent training and support to help them utilise MS Teams to its full capacity and I’ve been really proud of the quality of teaching I have observed in lessons this week.
As we move closer towards a potential phased return to school we will be using this opportunity to update the Home-School Commitment, check student/parent records and complete the annual parent survey. Please keep an eye out for these documents over the next couple of weeks. Thank you for continuing to ensure your child is attending any lessons on time and submitting work to the best of their ability. I hope you have a good bank holiday weekend.
