Students Awarded Duke of Edinburgh Certificates
Monday 10 February 2020
On the 28th of January 2020, AGFS students who participated in the Duke of Edinburgh programme over the course of the last year were recognised for their participation on either the Silver or Bronze level. During assembly that afternoon, students were presented with their certificate of achievement and a Duke of Edinburgh pin.
The Duke of Edinburgh award is split into four sections of participation:
- Skill - undertaking service to individuals or the community
- Volunteering/Service - developing practical and social skills and personal interests
- Physical Activity - improving in an area of sport, dance or fitness activities
- Expedition - planning, training for and completion of an adventurous journey in the UK
Our students committed themselves, in addition to their classroom work, to the achievement of these awards and we are very proud of their dedication and determination to complete them. This award is internationally recognised as a symbol of all things we strive toward at AGFS: Ambition, Growth, Fellowship and Scholarship.
