KS3 started with the track events, while KS4 began with the field events.
A special thanks go to the Year 10 sports leaders who were fundamental in running events. They demonstrated great technique, gave coaching points to younger scholars, and took the lead in recording results and measuring distances. For the afternoon session, KS3 moved onto the field events with particular success in the girl's triple jump, where Maggie Gillard set a new school record of 8.2 metres and KS4 moved onto the track. Many Year 11 alumni had turned up to defend their titles, with spectators giving a lot of support.
The day ended with the traditional staff relay; with a boosted sense of confidence due to PE department injuries, the SLT team dominated the track to a 1st place finish. Overall a brilliant day was had by both scholars and staff alike, and the house sports day title went to Waugh, who finished with over 550 points!
Many thanks to all the team involved in making this event a success.
