Year 11 GCSE Art, Design and Photography exhibition

The 2024 GCSE Art and Photography Exhibition yet again proved an incredible success – with over 300 guests in attendance which included AGFS staff, Yr11 students and families. Yr10 GCSE and prospective Yr9 students were also invited to enjoy the show. Sponsorship was kindly provided for the third year running by the Vistry group in association with the Greenwich Millennium Village resulting in adult guests exploring a range of fine wines whilst students enjoyed chilled soft drinks, a delicious selection of cheeses and fresh fruits. There were two very special guests in the form of two practicing commercial artists Beatrice Galletly and Evie Jacobs who took the time to speak with a number of students, giving advice on how to turn passion into a business. The Art and Photography work on display was quite simply stunning, providing the topic for countless discussions throughout the evening with many of the pieces selling, raising just over £2000.00 on the night – with 100% of all proceeds going back to the students. Congratulations to the Art and Photography department and we are already looking forward to the 2025 event.
