Unifrog includes a huge amount of up-to-date information covering all aspects of careers planning and we strongly recommend that you see this platform as your first choice for information to inform your decisions about further and higher education, apprenticeships and career paths beyond that.

We can provide access to the full platform to AGFS parents and carers. If you would like to have an account, please contact Ms Warren via email (dwarren@arkgreenwich.org) and she will provide your access code and outline instructions for access to this great resource.

These websites all provide useful careers information and advice:

  • The National Careers Service provides information, advice and guidance to help scholars make decisions on learning, training and work opportunities. The service offers confidential and impartial advice. This is supported by qualified careers advisers. The National Careers Service website aims to:
    • help scholars with careers decisions and planning
    • provide scholars with support to review their skills and abilities and develop new goals
    • motivate scholars to implement their plan of action
    • enable scholars to make the best use of high quality career related tools.
  • LifeSkills, created by Barclays, is a free, curriculum-linked programme, developed with teachers to help improve the skills and employability of young people in the UK. Further information can also be found here.
  • Icould has a range of video clips showing real people talking about their jobs and careers.
  • Careerpilot allows scholars to explore different job sectors and how they can study and work at the same time - even to university level.
  • Success at School is a website where scholars can explore careers, find information about top employers, and search for the latest jobs, courses and advice.
  • Apprenticeships: The Government has created a dedicated apprenticeship website with a wide range of information to help young people decide if an apprenticeship is the right route for them.
  • Amazing Apprenticeships is a leading organisation in the education sector, founded to tackle misconceptions about apprenticeships and promote the benefits.
  • Careermap offers different career choices and qualifications across a variety of industry sectors. Scholars can also register to receive their Career Magazine to keep up to date with the job market and LMI information.
  • FutureLearnCareers partner with over 170 world-class universities, institutions and industry leaders to create world-class courses to help you with your career. At FutureLearnCareers, you'll find a career that matches your education and skills.
  • Jobs and Career Magazine has a wide variety of up to date information to support parents and scholars, including how to find work, internships and how to suceed in an interview.
  • Informed Choices - Find out more about different qualifications available at sixth form or college.**Please note: individual universities have their own admissions policies and so may not accept some qualifications. Please check with the institutions you’re interested in **
